Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This course trains learners to operate a telescoping, hinged, or articulated boom-supported Elevated Work Platform (EWP), where personnel, equipment, and materials may be elevated to more than 11 meters high. This course also demonstrates EWP operations, identifying possible safety risks, and providing individuals with the confidence and skills to safely operate the High-Risk equipment.
Boom-type elevating work platform means a telescoping device, hinged device, or articulated device, or any combination of these, used to support a platform on which personnel, equipment and materials may be elevated.
A person performing this work is required to hold a boom-type elevating work platform HRWL.
