ESI Safety Rules

Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)

This unit covers the knowledge and understanding of electricity supply industry (ESI) safety rules for work on, near or in the vicinity of ESI electrical apparatus. It includes the relevant state and territory safety rules, and organisational workplace requirements and how it applies to ESI workers to meet work health and safety (WHS)/occupational health and safety (OHS), mobility and mutual aid requirements.

Entry requirements

Domestic Students

  • There are no mandated entry requirements.

Knowledge of electrical theory and electrical infrastructure will assist in understanding unit requirements. An introductory course to cover these subjects is recommended to be added to this training if this knowledge is not held.

Basic literacy, numeracy and writing skills are required.

We work with employers to efficiently tailor training to their needs, delivering in their workplaces (or another suitable location) and using their equipment.

ESI Training and Consulting is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO no. 45463) and carries out both nationally recognised training (accredited) and Industry specific (non accredited) training.

Our training is tailored to meet the requirements of both the Victorian Electrical Supply Industry (VESI) and Energy Safe Victoria (ESV). In addition to our training services ESI also offer consulting services.
