Diploma of Process Plant Technology
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)The Diploma of Process Plant Technology PMA50116 is aimed at both professionals with experience working in the oil & gas and process plant technology industry looking to advance their career, and students without industry experience who would like a university qualification in engineering.
It is a technical qualification for technologists or para-professionals who undertake projects such as plant modifications, energy and mass balances, risk management & safety cases either individually, or as part of a project team. They may have worked their way up through the process plant operation/technology certificate or may have entered the industry at this level, either from another industry or trade occupation.
The course is designed to qualify graduates to move into management roles. The qualification also leads directly into the Advanced Diploma of Process Plant Technology PMA60116.
Career outcomes within the oil & gas industry include Person in Charge (PIC) and Offshore Installation Manager (OIM), while other roles in the resource sector include Superintendent, Advanced Engineering Tradesperson, Project Analyst, Project Coordinator and more.
