Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)The MSL50122 Diploma in Laboratory Technology qualification is tailored for professionals who implement various laboratory technologies and perform scientific-technical analyses across multiple industries. These workers possess specialized technical expertise and handle a broad spectrum of routine and complex tests, including those involving unusual samples and instruments with extensive operational variables. They are responsible for communicating sample requirements, liaising with suppliers to resolve product issues, and may train others in sample collection and basic testing procedures.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
- Possess a Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques, OR
- Have attained a Certificate IV or a more advanced qualification in a field related to science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM),OR
- Are able to demonstrate practical laboratory skills, relevant knowledge, and work experience in a technical laboratory setting.
- Are 18 years old and above
- Are currently employed/affiliated with a workplace
- Have sound language and literacy skills (at least Year 10 English, or equivalent),
- Have basic computer skills, and
- Those who do not hold either a minimum qualification of Certificate III or above from an Australian institution, will be required to complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment (LL&N)
