Diploma of Graphic Design
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This qualification reflects the role of individuals who combine technical, creative and conceptual skills to create designs that meet client requirements and solve a range of visual communication challenges. Practice at this level is underpinned by the application of design theory and practice and the ability to analyse and synthesise information from a range of sources to generate design solutions.
Utilising the latest Adobe Creative Cloud products including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, students will gain a diverse range of skills in technical and theoretical design principles and their application in everyday design.
Expand on your creative talents through practical exercises in typography, branding, packaging, digital and online design, illustration and portfolio design, all while working in a collaborative, studio environment.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
To enter this qualification, individuals must provide evidence of their technical skills and ability to:
- produce multiple examples of graphic design work that respond effectively to different design challenges
- produce typography that supports the overall design solution
- use graphic design industry software
For direct enrolment to Dip of Graphic Design, students would need to submit a portfolio:
- The portfolio should be one single PDF file no more than 3MB
- Showcase a minimum of five (5) pieces of work across the range of work must be the use of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign

About Elston Education & Training
Established in 2001, Elston Education &Training (EET) (formally English in Paradise (EIP)) is the educational branch of Crumps International Pty Ltd, a well-respected, family owned, Australian business. Elston was the historic and founding name of what we now call Surfers Paradise.
From the early years of delivering conversational based English language lessons in 2001, EET has grown rapidly and diversified into a highly successful registered education and training organisation (RTO) with CRICOS registration. This accreditation by the Australian government has enabled EET to expand its scope of courses to include Business, Leadership & Management, and Media & Design with course levels ranging from Certificate I through to Diploma and Advanced Diplomas.
Elston Education & Training is currently delivering all of these nationally recognised, vocational education training (VET) courses to Domestic and International Students. Delivering the training are EET highly qualified and experienced trainers who are passionate about helping their students achieve their education goals. The trainers work closely with EET caring support staff to ensure that a student’s time at EET is both rewarding and enjoyable.
