Diploma of English Language Teaching (TESOL)
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)11020NAT Diploma of English Language Teaching (TESOL) is a qualification for those working in the field of Teaching English as a foreign or second language.
This and other TESOL courses are delivered by a number of Australian Registered training organisations (RTOs), with the qualification being recognised within the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
Our focus is on issuing 11020NAT Diploma of English Language Teaching (TESOL) through recognition of prior learning (RPL) and recognition of current competency (RCC).
In the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) a Diploma is at level 5. Graduates at this level will have specialised knowledge and skills for skilled/paraprofessional work and/or further learning.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
At least one of the examples of evidence of English proficiency listed below must be provided prior to enrolment in the course:
- High School report results from year 12 level English
- Senior Certificate showing a sound achievement (or above) in English
- Completion of a tertiary level (Certificate III or higher qualification) Qualification (this must have been studied /completed in English)
- Enrolment in other courses of study requiring equivalent or above levels of English ability (for example a University Bachelor Degree)
- Letter of endorsement of very good English competency from an employer, for example where workplace documents have been produced
- A result from an endorsed test of English proficiency with an IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent for entry to 11021NAT Certificate IV in English Language Teaching (TESOL) and 11020NAT Diploma of English Language Teaching (TESOL)
- Written documents you have produced in English (e.g. your resume)

About Global Institute For Training
We are a Registered Training Organisation issuing Australian recognised qualifications through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Recognition of Current Competencies (RCC).
We only offer an RPL/RCC service but we can direct you to relevant gap training in the event that are any gaps where your previous training and current competencies do not meet the requirements of the qualification.
As an Australian based RTO (Registered Training Organisation) our main focus is to recognise skills that you acquired through prior training or experience through a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and/or Recognition of Current Competencies (RCC) process. However, should your prior training and current skills not meet the requirements of the qualification we can point you towards suitable training to enable you to gain any competencies you still need.
