Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care qualification is the required level to work in supervisor and senior roles such as a lead educator, coordinator or director in an early childhood service. The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care is a highly sought after qualification as it is designed to prepare graduates with the knowledge and skills to meet the everyday challenges of working within the early childhood industry. This qualification is needed for those wanting to achieve leadership positions within ACECQA approved early childhood services.
The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care reflects the role of early childhood educators who are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum in early childhood education and care services. In doing so they work to implement an approved learning framework within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standards. With topics on management, you will also develop the ability to lead and support other staff, implement and lead educational programs, and manage a variety of tasks within an early childhood service.
Upon completion of the Diploma of Childhood Education and Care course, you will be ready to advance your early childhood career into senior and leadership positions.

Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Entry to this qualification is open to educators who hold either:
CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or
CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

- QLD Subsidised Training This training may be subsidised by the QLD Government for eligible individuals. Places are limited.
