Entry Requirements

To qualify for this course, students must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC30121 or CHC30113).
  • Be at least 18 years old when the course begins.
  • Must be able to participate in industry placements. A current Working With Children Check card is necessary for placement.
  • Must be physically capable of fulfilling the practicum requirements.
  • You may need to provide evidence of the COVID-19 vaccination for placement in an education and care service.
  • Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.
