Flexible study options available to suit everyone. You can choose to study full time on campus, part time through online remote delivery or via a workshop model online. This delivery mode is designed specifically to suit students working in the industry who want to upgrade their qualifications.

When you successfully complete the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care with Chisholm, you will have achieved two nationally recognised qualifications highly regarded by employers in this sector. You will be able to work at a senior level in a variety of children's services, including designing and developing curriculum and supervision of staff.

Entry requirements

Domestic Students

  • There are no mandated entry requirements.

Applicants must be 17 years and 3 months, of school leaving age or have a transition from school form, applicants must successfully complete BKSB before the enrolment, achieving English Exit Level 3 and Maths Exit level 2.

Applications must first complete the CHC30113 or CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and on completion will continue into the Diploma qualification, Complete a induction session and selection interview, have parental agreement for students under 18 years of age.

Practical placement requires that students engage professionally with children, families and colleagues often in a fulltime capacity, Students must complete a minimum of 280 hour work placement as this is a requirement of the course, Students need to be able to obtain a volunteer Working With Children Check prior to undertaking work placement.
