Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)If you are already working in the sector (minimum 15 hours per week) and would like to become a Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator, this course will allow you study and develop the skills and knowledge to successfully work at this level, whilst maintaining your employment and experience.
You'll also learn how to design and implement educational programs that support developmental outcomes for children. Enhance your skills and confidence in classes with experienced and supportive trainers, in practical children’s services simulation rooms and during extensive industry work placement.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
You must:
- hold CHC30113/CHC30121 Certificate III Early Childhood Education and Care (you will need to provide a certified copy of your transcript and qualification)
- have a current Working With Children Check (required prior to commencement of work placement and for future employment in this field)
- be employed, or a Trainee for a minimum of 15 hrs per week in a registered childhood education and care service
You may be required to provide a National Police Check (with no disclosable outcomes) to be able to participate in work placement and to apply for future employment opportunities.
If you are employed as a Trainee, applicants must be registered with an Australian Apprenticeship Centre and have a training contract with an employer.
