The CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care is designed for aspiring educators who are responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating early childhood education and care programs. This qualification will provide you with the skills to plan; implement and manage programs in early childhood services including long day care centres, family daycare, preschools or kindergartens. Your course will cover understanding child learning and development, culture and diversity in early childhood, and health & safety for children.

Entry requirements

Domestic Students

  • There are no mandated entry requirements.
  • Students must have completed either the CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
  • Complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment.
  • Be a minimum age of 16 years old or over.
  • Unique Student Identifier (USI).
  • Hold a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) or ability to obtain one prior to attending work experience and field days.
  • Hold a Covid19 vaccination certificate.
