Diploma of Community Development
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Community development workers contribute to the development of communities through social change processes. The work may occur within and across social, environment, economic, arts and culture, and recreation sectors.
This work may take place in domestic and international contexts. For instance, Aboriginal project officers (development assistance) are engaged by a charitable organisation to provide services for Australian-based projects aimed at alleviating disadvantage among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.
They may coordinate field-based projects, manage the budget, or participate in the design, development, and implementation or monitoring of community development plans.
Employment for this occupation rose slightly in the past five years and rose strongly in the long-term (ten years). Employment for Community Development to November 2020 is expected to grow moderately.

Our Executive Director has been in the training industry for over 25 years and leads the way with vision and integrity. Each of our trainers has extensive experience in the VET sector and believes in lifelong learning and professional development. Our administration team has excellent skills in administration and program coordination.
Our team understands the pressures that study can have on our students, who are mostly working mums with young children. We work together to support our students, and we’re proud of each and every person. We take the time to know each of our students, and we work with their employers to ensure they have all the support they need to succeed.
