Diploma of Building and Construction (Building)
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)The Diploma of Building and Construction is a practical course that covers common practical skills and knowledge required for the building and construction industry. Training and assessment is delivered by registered builders in a real or very closely simulated workplace environment.
After successfully completing this qualification you will have all the required knowledge to apply to become a registered builder in the class of Domestic Builder (Unlimited) with the Victorian Building Authority. The maximum duration for this program is 13 months part time.
The diploma is suitable for those with experience or who are currently working in the building and construction industry. If you are new to the industry with less than three years’ work experience, the Dual Qualification is recommended.
There are no prerequisites, however you should be employed within the building and construction industry.
You should also hold the unit CPCWHS1001 Work Safely in the construction industry (White Card) before commencing this program, or within four weeks of commencing. NCT can refer you to quality providers that deliver this unit.
