FTA currently uses the Diamond DA40 aircraft for instructor training. This robust and modern trainer reduces pilot workload with an intuitive glass cockpit while providing handling characteristics that enhances the learning experience for aspirational instructors under training.

The course provides students with excellent grounding in classroom presentation and airborne instructional technique.

We are located at Parafield Airport, South Australia. The college started operations in 1982 and over the years has had a number of corporate owners, including Hawker de Havilland and BAE SYSTEMS. In 2005 the college was purchased by Hong Kong-based Young Brothers Aviation.
