This qualification covers the skills and knowledge required to perform an advanced range of tasks on a variety of light vehicles in the automotive retail, service and repair industry. Students will develop skills to diagnose, analyse and evaluate faults in different light vehicle systems including brakes, steering and suspension, engine and fuel, transmissions and drivelines. They will also learn how to document specifications and procedures and research and present reports from their analyses.
