Course in Working Safely in the Solar Industry

Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)

This course will provide you with an overview of safety hazards and appropriate safety measures relevant to solar installations.

The course is designed for electricians, plumbers, apprentices and trade assistants who want to increase their safety awareness on solar installations.

It will also be a mandatory requirement for installers, apprentices and trade assistants working in the Victorian Government’s Solar Homes program through Solar Victoria as of 1 January 2021.

Entry requirements

Domestic Students

  • There are no mandated entry requirements.

To be eligible to apply for this course, you must be an electrician, plumber, building practitioner, trade assistant or an apprentice across these industries who want to learn about the safety requirements associated with solar installations.
