This course teaches the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid to a person experiencing anaphylaxis until the arrival of medical assistance.
It also covers the recognition, risk management, prevention and risk minimisation strategies related to anaphylaxis. It provides the outcomes required to develop and implement a risk management plan to reduce the risk of severe reactions in individuals diagnosed at risk of anaphylaxis.
It can be applied in either the workplace, or in the community.There are also specific industries that require additional training such as childcare workers, school teachers and other industries.
