Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)The Course in Ear Wax Removal (Irrigation) 11030NAT aims to develop the knowledge and skills to be able to manage wax (cerumen) and the irrigation (ear syringing) process including risks, safety of practice, complications, follow up and referral recommendations.
You will learn the skills and knowledge required to safely undertake an ear assessment and will be assessed in the classroom by a clinical trainer. On successful completion of the course, you will be accredited in ear wax removal (irrigation) and therefore workplace ready.
Although you are technically ‘workplace ready’, to ensure best practice we recommend that you are observed by a peer in your workplace before performing irrigation procedures on clients. Please note, all irrigation activities must be undertaken in accordance with your workplace policies and procedures.
