The Course in EAL provides a general education for students for whom English is an additional language. The course develops English language, literacy and numeracy skills. It is designed to prepare students to undertake further education and training, seek and maintain employment, and participate in the general community.

This is a foundation course for learners who have little or no formal schooling, English literacy skills or numeracy skills. It is also suitable for learners who do not have literacy skills in their first language.
