This course is for beginners who have no or very limited English literacy skills and no prior experience or training.

Students will learn to recognise and write the alphabet and numbers, read social sight words and signs, as well as respond to simple instructions, participate in short conversation and provide basic personal information.

This course is for people who wish to learn English and are complete beginners. Students are assessed when they first enter Bendigo TAFE to determine the correct certificate level.

People who enter at this level have little or no English Language and will learn how to read, write, listen and speak English in a common everyday language.
