This unit is nationally recognised and is appropriate for existing and potential employees of a broad cross section of the construction industries.

Participants may be working or looking for work in an operational role at worksites including: civil construction, coal mining, drilling, extractive industries or metalliferous mining.

It includes: planning and preparing; conducting machine pre-operational checks; operating the machine; selecting, removing and fitting attachments; relocating the machine; carrying out machine operator maintenance; and cleaning up.

A nationally recognised statement of attainment will be issued to students on successful completion of the course along with a wallet sized card.
