Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Develop your career as a surveying assistant or technician with this advanced course. You will gain the skills required to support a surveying team including using surveying tools and equipment, using computer programs, analysis of data, and report writing. This course is an ideal stepping stone to employment or further training in the field.
According to the Australian Government's Job Outlook service, surveyors and spatial scientists are in demand with employers fining it hard to fill vacancies. There are likely to be around 3,000 job openings in this area over the next five years with employers looking for candidates who are motivated, organised, and work well in a team.
This course covers complex surveying duties and spatial information services. You will learn how to use global navigation satellite systems and gain skills in computations, computer-aided drawing, terrestrial technologies, and project set out. Our teachers are experts in the field with close ties to industry to ensure our training reflects the latest industry practice.
Successful completion of this course will qualify you to complete complex surveying and spatial information activities. If completed as part of an apprenticeship this course will also allow you to apply for a trade qualification.
