Certificate IV in Leisure and Health
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)CHC43415 Certificate IV in Leisure and Health qualification reflects the role of workers participating in the design, implementation and evaluation of leisure and health activities and programs for older people. Workers may be in residential facilities and/or in community agencies and day centers, undertaking leisure and health related tasks. While workers are responsible for their own outputs, work is carried out under direct or indirect supervision within defined organisation guidelines.
If you enjoy working with people and are passionate about health and wellbeing, this course will help gain the skills and knowledge to design and deliver health and leisure programs for individuals and groups. This course, created in consultation with industry and is ideal if you want to launch your career in leisure and health. Work in disability, aged care or community settings.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Candidates seeking to undertake this course must have:
- National Police Check – on commencement of this course all candidates are required to complete /have a current National Police Check within 6 months.
- Immunisation Evidence – Students are required to provide current Immunisation evidence prior to enrolment, i.e. influenza and COVID-19 vaccination in line with current Government Health Department guidelines, or a requirement of the employer.
- Course applicants must complete a Literacy, Numeracy (LLN Robot) test to ensure the required language, literacy and numeracy levels are met for the course.
- Pre-training interview with education staff required prior to enrolment.
