Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
During the course we will work with you to arrange a suitable venue(s) for work placement. At the end of the course you will be expected to have completed a minimum of 120 hours of work placement to enable the assessment of your ability to implement your training under working conditions. Please discuss this with your trainer at your interview.
To be able to attend the work placement it is a mandatory requirement from the placement facilities that students will need to have:
- Obtained the relevant clearances and screening checks for that facility (eg DHS vulnerable person, aged care sector, working with children check, national police clearance etc)
- Received their annual influenza vaccination, and
- Received at least one dose of a TGA approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccination; and
- Received, or have evidence of a booking to receive, a second dose of a TGA approved COVID-19 vaccine within the interval after the first dose; and
- Within four weeks of becoming eligible in accordance with ATAGI guidelines, the person receives, or has evidence of a booking to receive, a third dose (booster) of a TGA approved COVID-19 vaccine
