Certificate IV in Horticulture
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)The qualification AHC40422 Certificate IV in Horticulture allows you to develop post-trade skills and knowledge across a broad coverage of the industry prior to undertaking higher roles in the industry.
You learn how to control small horticultural projects, improve soils, manage equipment and machinery, implement pest management and chemical use strategies, manage water systems and horticultural production, recruit and induct staff and maintain work health and safety.
Your studies include subjects from the Diploma of Horticulture which can provide entrée to supervisory positions in the Horticulture industries such as nurseries, country clubs and resorts, council services, and visitor attractions such as theme parks

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Successfully completed Year 12 or equivalent qualification / certificate
Also, candidates will need to be able to calculate ratios, dilution rates, volumes and area as several units require the completion of written reports and workplace plans. A good knowledge of plants and their culture is beneficial.

Received / gained at least a 55% pass mark in the English Subject / or be able to demonstrate English language proficiency by taking IELTS exam (minimum score 5.0) or by demonstrating the reading and writing skills to the Brisbane College of Horticulture (BCH).
Also, candidates will need to be able to calculate ratios, dilution rates, volumes and area as several units require the completion of written reports and workplace plans. A good knowledge of plants and their culture is beneficial.

About Brisbane College of Horticulture
Brisbane College of Horticulture (BCH) is a registered training organisation (RTO) that offers nationally accredited courses in accordance with Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015. The college provides a challenging yet enjoyable learning environment for domestic and international students. BCH combines cultural diversity and business expertise in the delivery of all its programmes. We have a mandate for servicing the wider Horticulture industry along the east coast of Australia which led to ultra modern campuses opening in Cairns (Far North Queensland) in 2016 and Coffs Harbour (New South Wales) in 2022; both locations being long standing hubs of Production Horticulture in Australia.
