This program is designed to equip you for paid or volunteer employment in ‘English as a Second Language’ (ESL) teaching positions. It will provide you with a range of knowledge and skills to plan and deliver English lessons, as well as further develop specific competencies in an elective area. With a high focus on practical demonstration of skills, you will be ‘employment ready’ upon your graduation.
With an Australian Bachelor’s degree in any field, Certificate IV TESOL graduates could gain employment at the following institutions:

MCIE advises students to contact individual institutions for information regarding the qualification requirements for their TESOL teachers.
Students must complete a Pre-Training Review, meet the Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skill standards for Certificate IV level study and demonstrate that they are a suitable candidate for this course. You may be also asked to undertake a pre-enrolment task to further assess your suitability for this course.
