This nationally recognised qualification^ provides people with practical skills in teaching English to speakers of other languages. The course aims to develop candidates language analysis skills and awareness of cultural factors in language learning. It also addresses the skills and knowledge requirements for designing and delivering an English Language training program for learners from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds (CALD).

Upon graduation, candidates will be able to plan lessons for learners at different levels, in a variety of contexts, design and adapt classroom materials, conduct lessons effectively and analyse language for teaching purposes.
