Certificate IV in Engineering
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)AIME’s MEM40105 Certificate IV in Engineering Maintenance provides training on the skills needed to gain employment as a technician in engineering maintenance.
The skills cover all aspects of maintaining equipment in optimum working order to maximise efficiency and profitability for the enterprise.
There are no pre-requisites for the course but an indication of suitability to undertake the course would be if you possessed any of but not limited to qualifications such as a Certificate III in any science/engineering discipline, the MEM30505 Certificate II in Engineering/Technical or are a Year 12 graduate including a Year 12 maths unit. Alternatively if you have experience as an industrial technician you may be eligible to enter the course. The lecturer will advise on your eligibility at your interview.
The student will be required to attend 652 hours of facilitated training over a period of 12 months (note there is no training in January). In addition the student should expect to spend 480 hours in personal time reviewing and refreshing material provided in the course.
