This course is designed for those who require consolidation of advanced level English speaking and listening, reading, writing, literacy skills and study skills in English prior to accessing a range of further study pathways including higher education. This course assists to meet language needs of students wanting to enter higher education programs and/or improve their employment prospects. Students will read and write extensively. They will learn to use reading strategies, increase their vocabulary, and develop their ideas in writing.

CAC recommends satisfactory completion of an equivalent of Australia year 10.

The recommended entry ISLPR for this course is 2 or IELTS 5.0 or completion of prior EAL learning eg Certificate III in EAL.
