Certificate IV in Design
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Harness your creative talent and learn the essentials of design thinking, principles, and applications with the Certificate IV in Design. Learn core design processes, master typography, and fine-tune your creative thinking skills.
The course will teach you how to bring your design concepts to life through digital imaging, technical drawings, and 3D models; working across various mediums to develop a portfolio of work to share with prospective employers.
You'll also learn how to generate design solutions to meet client needs, how to read between the lines when interpreting a design brief, and how to successfully collaborate within a creative team.

GOTAFE entry requirements
Complete a Basic Key Skills Builder (BKSB) online test to ensure the required literacy & numeracy levels for the course are met.
Undertake a Pre-training Review to document previous work experience and qualifications and assess suitability for the course.
It is preferred that students currently hold the CUA30720 Certificate III in Design fundamentals or have equivalent abilities or experience. These skills may have been acquired through personal or work experience, or secondary or other formal study.
