Certificate IV in Dental Assisting
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This course is appropriate for you if want to provide an advanced level of assistance to dental practitioners and other dental professionals. The course will advance the level of your knowledge and skills needed in assisting dentists, dental hygienists or dental therapists during all health care procedures, maintaining high standards of infection control and assisting with practice administration. As a student in this course, you will undertake a minimum of 250 hours of clinical placement, linked with a number of units of competency in the Certificate IV program. You would undertake the practical components of the course by working alongside qualified professionals, fully supervised by WAIFS trainers and designated supervisors at the host employer.
