Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)As new technologies and industries come on-stream, so do new opportunities. However, in a rapidly evolving job market, traditional work patterns and career arcs will need careful rethinking.
This qualification addresses the increasing demand for specialised career mentoring in schools and universities, employment agencies, HR and recruitment, and with providers servicing vulnerable communities. It focuses on the skills, knowledge and interpersonal smarts needed to deliver service and relevant training to individuals, groups and employers.
Once in the workplace, your role will involve significant client contact; counselling and providing information about career direction, professional development and training. You will work with a diverse range of people, from school leavers through to experienced professionals looking for new pathways.
Graduates with this certificate may also have limited supervisory responsibilities in contexts such as employment services.
