Certificate IV in Building and Construction
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This qualification is designed to meet the needs of builders and managers of small to medium-sized building businesses. The qualification has core unit of competency requirements that cover common skills for the construction industry.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Living Planit requires that you must:
- be aged 18 years or over
- hold a minimum of a Higher School Certificate (or equivalent)
- complete the LLN test during the enrolment process
- be able to commit to the course duration and time commitment
In addition, to complete the practical components, you will need to access a construction workplace. If you do not have access to a construction site, please talk to us before applying for this course.
Completion of the general construction induction training program specified by the model Code of Practice for Construction Work is required for any person who is to carry out construction work. Achievement of unit CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry meets this requirement.
For the theory components, you also need to have a computer with internet connection as well as access to the Microsoft Office Applications.
