This qualification is designed for professionals in the building and construction industry wanting to apply for a Low-rise Builders License or to advance their knowledge to acquire a higher-level building and construction position. It is suitable for, but not limited to; Carpenters, Bricklayers, Leading Hands, Building Estimators, Site and/or Project Managers.
In this course, you will gain extensive skills on how to plan building construction work, apply structural principles, supervise on-site construction, apply building codes, meet standards and legal requirements to maintain industry quality, manage contracts and small business finances. Successful completion will allow you to then apply for a Builder – Low Rise License, setting you up to successfully manage a residential building business.
In addition, completion of specific units of competency within this qualification may also allow you to apply for a Site Supervisor Builder Low Rise License. Additional units of competency may be required to meet builder registration requirements in various States and Territories.
