Certificate IV in Ageing Support

Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)

A career in aged care can lead to a variety of managerial or leadership roles within the growing industry.

Known as one of the most rewarding career paths to follow, working in aged care allows you to make a true difference in the lives of the elderly. Something as small as helping them with their medications or simply being there as a confidant can have a massive impact into the lives of those you care for.

The Certificate IV in Ageing Support includes CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support, and also addresses the role of support workers who complete specialised tasks and functions in aged services. These services can include residential, home, or community based environments.

The Certificate IV combines classroom training with on the job training by our highly qualified training staff. Students will be able to put into practice the skills that they have learnt in the classroom through placement at a registered aged care facility.

About Academia

As a medium-sized institution, we’re able to offer our students the best of both worlds. Unlike a larger institution, you’ll receive levels of one-on-one attention and support that wouldn’t be possible with a larger student body.

At the same time, we’re also better-resourced than a smaller institution. We have larger workshops, and are able to attract high-quality instructors who bring with them years of experience not just teaching, but in their industry as well.
