Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)ake a step up the career ladder with this mid-level qualification in Accounting and Bookkeeping. Combining practical bookkeeping skills with accounting theory, this course will give you a range of career options and pathways towards further success. Through your studies, you’ll learn how to prepare business operation budgets, calculate product and service costing using Microsoft Excel applications, develop business documents, prepare business tax calculations, process everyday business transactions, prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) to the Australian Tax Office (ATO), process payroll using XERO software, and apply the principles of accounting. By completing this qualification, you’ll be able to work as a registered BAS Agent or Bookkeeper (additional experience requirements apply). You can also choose to work as an accounts clerk or payroll office. This course provides a pathway to completing the Diploma of Accounting to become a Registered Tax Agent.
