Certificate III In Wall And Ceiling Lining

This course is designed for those working in the construction trades as a plasterer or wall and ceiling liner. Delivered on-site* in a flexible way that suits your work, we will come to your work site and assess you while you are working. The delivery is designed to fit in with a modern working environment including online content and workplace simulations.

This qualification provides a trade outcome in wall and ceiling lining. Occupational titles may include: Wall and ceiling liner. The qualification has core unit of competency requirements that cover common skills for the construction industry, as well as two specialist fields of work. The construction industry strongly affirms that training and assessment leading to recognition of skills must be undertaken in a real or very closely simulated workplace environment and this qualification requires all units of competency to be delivered in this context. Completion of the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (ASCC 2007) is required before entering a construction work site. Achievement of unit CPCCOHS1001A covers this requirement.

Entry requirements

Domestic Students

  • There are no mandated entry requirements.

To be eligible for this program, students must be employed with an apprentice contract (Apprenticeship) or have a minimum of five years experience in the wall and ceiling lining industry and have access to a live work site as part of this delivery (Non-apprenticeship).

It is also recommended that you have satisfactory numeracy and literacy skills to undertake this course.
