Certificate III in Sport Coaching (Equestrian)
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Are you passionate about helping people with their horses? The Foundation Horse riding Instructor course will give you a professional qualification to teach people how to ride.
This full course qualification includes teaching beginners, nervous riders and children, teaching them the basics so they can go onto progress at any discipline they choose.
This course has been designed for full time study, over 23 weeks (31 weeks including holidays), with 200 hours recommended teaching experience to be gained during the course.
However, it could take less time if you already have previous teaching experience with horses or plan to study for more than 23 hours per week plan to study full time.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
To be accepted into this course, you should be:
- fit and healthy enough to meet the practical requirements of this course
- an experienced horse person (or complete our recommended Foundation course)
- at least fourteen (14) years of age to commence this course
- completed equivalent to Year 9 (Queensland Education)
- or equivalent to ten years full-time study in the English language
- or equivalent to twelve years full-time study in another language with excellent reading, writing, speaking and listening English language skills and previous qualifications or extensive experience with horses
