Certificate III in Pathology Collection

Do you find the pathology industry exciting? Then this course is designed for you. This qualification is the starting point to kick start your career in the exciting world of pathology.
You will learn to respond appropriately to clients in a healthcare environment and develop your communication skills. Beginning on our prosthetic training arms, we will guide, support and supervise you as you learn about infection prevention, WHS and progress to taking blood and non-blood samples, performing ECG’s, Holter Monitors and providing excellent patient care.
Students will need access to a computer with internet connection to complete their qualification. The units are delivered face-to-face with plenty of clinical practice available in our licensed collection clinic so you can practice venepuncture skills.
Students usually complete their studies in 5 months.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
This course requires you to have a good understanding of written, verbal and spoken English and maths (known as language, literacy and numeracy ‘LLN’). All students who enrol in a course are required to undertake Adept Training’s LLN assessment. While not a prerequisite, we strongly recommend all students be immunised for Hepatitis A and B before enrolling in the course. Please note all students are required to provide the following on enrolment:
- Completed enrolment form
- USI Number
- Photo ID
- Proof of Residency (Birth Certificate, Passport, Green Medicare Card or Citizenship Certificate)
- Language, literacy and numeracy assessment

- NSW Subsidised Training This training may be subsidised by the NSW Government for eligible individuals. Places are limited.
