Certificate III in Painting and Decorating
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This qualification provides a trade outcome through an apprenticeship in Painting & Decorating covering work for residential and commercial paint applications. The qualification has core unit of competency requirements that cover common skills for painting and decorating in the construction industry, as well as a specialist field of work, for example the application of wallpaper, feature coatings and protective coatings. The construction industry strongly affirms that training and assessment leading to recognition of skills must be undertaken in a real or very closely simulated workplace environment and this qualification requires all units of competency to be delivered in this context. According to the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) graduates at Certificate III level have theoretical and practical knowledge and skills for work and/or further learning.
