Certificate III in Make-Up

Certificate III in Make-up provides a strong foundation of skill sets needed to get you on your best foot to excel in a freelance or retail makeup career.

Develop your skills in a range of the latest trends and techniques including, special occasion, bridal and fashion make-up, airbrushing, camouflage, eyelash extensions and fantasy make-up.

You will also build an understanding of occupational health and safety procedures required for industry standard safe work practices, small business planning skills and social media strategies to enable you to succeed in your freelance career.

Entry requirements

Domestic Students

  • There are no mandated entry requirements.

Admission requirements are completion of BKSB assessment with an outcome of ACSF exit level 2 - working level 3, for both literacy and numeracy, Applicants must be 17 years of age at the time of commencement of the course, Applicants must complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test, Applicants need to have a basic knowledge of the use of Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as Internet and email use and have access to a computer or tablet.

Please note: Students must be able to stand unassisted and hold arms at shoulder height for prolonged periods of time, be comfortable working one on one in close proximity with persons of all genders.
