Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing)

Individual support now has two specialisations, disability and ageing. You can choose either stream to improve your employment opportunities.
The ageing stream prepares you for work with the elderly in a community or residential setting. You will:
- learn to communicate and work in health or community services,
- provide individualised support
- recognise healthy body systems
- work with diverse people
- support independence and wellbeing
- follow safe work practices
- and work legally and ethically.
This course is eligible for Free TAFE!
Eligible Victorian students who elect to use their one Free TAFE opportunity will not incur any tuition fees. Material and resources fees still apply.

The Gordon offers this course through the following delivery modes:
On campus
Work with instructors and classmates in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Work Placement
120 hours- 2 Fenwick Street, Geelong
- 24 Watton Street, Werribee
Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
- Applicants are expected to have literacy and numeracy skills at Year 11 or Australian Core Skills Framework Level 3 to meet the academic requirements for the course.
- Applicants must be aged 16 years or over at the time of course commencement
- You must reside in Victoria to access Victorian Government Subsidised Fees and any incentive such as Free TAFE. Full fees apply to all non-Victorian residents.
Each student must complete a pre-training review as part of their application. The outcome of your pre-training review assists our teachers and trainers to better understand your capabilities prior to training and enables you to be matched to the right program. Your literacy and numeracy skills will be evaluated and you may be required to undertake a separate assessment.
