Certificate III in Horticulture

In this course you will have the opportunity for lots of hands-on learning and the campus based program provides the chance to put your skills and knowledge into practice through a work placement in the horticultural industry. You’ll develop your skills in providing information on plants and their culture, implementing propagation, plant nutrition and plant establishment programs as well as how to prepare growing media. You’ll learn how to effectively control weeds, plant pests, diseases and disorders, as well as how to prepare and apply chemicals, and transport, handle and store them appropriately.

Entry requirements

Domestic Students

  • There are no mandated entry requirements.
Applicants will be required to undertake the Basic Key Skills Builder (BKSB) to confirm they have the required Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills to work at a Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) exit level 2 or higher. Additional requirements may apply.
