Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Become a trade qualified machinist by completing this qualification as part of your apprenticeship. With greater demand in maintenance, repair and modification, machinists have opportunities in a range of industries.
In this course you will learn to create and modify parts made primarily of metal, plastic, or wood. It provides you the skills to follow technical drawings, and design, assemble, manufacture and install components in mechanical equipment. You'll also learn to fault-find, maintain and service mechanical equipment, machinery and fluid power systems. Our industry-expert teachers will train you on the latest technology and equipment to ensure you are skilled to industry standards.
Successful completion of this qualification as an apprentice allows you to become a trade-recognised machinist and continue to progress your career.
