Certificate III In Engineering - Mechanical Trade
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This is an Australian Apprenticeship course, combining paid work with training. Mature age people can also apply for apprenticeships. This apprenticeship course provides the off-the-job training component of a mechanical engineering apprenticeship. You will learn the knowledge, skills and applications required to begin a career as a fitter and machinist. The course delivery encompasses a combination of remote and flexible delivery methods.. This includes easy to navigate online tutorials, video conferencing (classroom simulation) as well as face-to-face practical assessments and work placements – where safe and practical to implement. You will require access to the internet and a computer to undertake this course

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Full time employment as a mechanical engineering apprentice, under a training agreement established. To start an apprenticeship, you need to find a job as an apprentice and sign a training contract with your employer. (Year 11 or Year 12 is usually an advantage).

- VIC Subsidised Training This training may be subsidised by the VIC Government for eligible individuals. Places are limited.
