Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This qualification is intended for people commencing a career as an Early Childhood Educator. The program involves both scheduled classrooms learning activities and workplace-based learning activities and assessment. This program provides learners with skills and knowledge required to provide care for individuals and groups of children. They support children’s wellbeing, and development in the context of an approved learning framework. They may work independently or under the guidance of others, though in some contexts that guidance may not be on-site.
This qualification is undertaken by students seeking to develop their own professional competency and to also comply with early childhood accreditation standards. Those currently working (a new entrant) or commencing work as a Childcare Educator at an approved early childhood service.
In just 14 months, you have the opportunity to become qualified for a variety of roles. These include Long Day Care Educator, Kindergarten Assistant, Childcare Assistant and Early Childhood Educator.

Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Hold a current NSW Working with Children Check.
Be currently working or commencing work as a Childcare Educator and/or Family Day Care Educator.
