Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)With an increasing demand for Early Childhood Educators across Victoria, the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is a stepping stone into the industry. No previous experience is required for this course, meaning it is ideal for individuals who are passionate about child development, and have a desire to make a difference in a child's life.
Prospective students must pride themselves on being empathetic, patient, and accountable, with the ability to problem-solve and engage with adults. They may work independently or under the guidance of others, though in some contexts that guidance may not be on-site. Early childhood educators work in long daycare centres, family daycare, pre-schools, or kindergartens.

GOTAFE entry requirements
Complete a Basic Key Skills Builder (BKSB)an online test to ensure the required literacy & numeracy levels for the course are met.
Undertake a Pre-training review interview to ensure the course suits their needs and aspirations, and that they are likely to complete the course successfully.
Students are advised at the application stage of any course or industry requirements and could include but are not limited to:
- Police Check with no disclosable outcomes prior to placement.
- Working with Children Check (Volunteer) prior to enrolment.
