Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Get started on the career of your dreams with our Nationally Recognised Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care!QLD law requires that to work in this industry, you must have, or be actively working towards, at least an approved certificate III level education and care qualification.
You will gain practical skills to care for children, nurture their development and ensure sure their environment is safe and supportive. You will also gain a detailed understanding of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard requirements and successfully implement the approved learning framework.

Work Placement
To be assessed as competent in this qualification, students are required to undertake 160 hours of supervised work placement in a regulated child care service that caters to children aged between 0-6.Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
A minimum of year 12 or (Australian equivalent) is mandatory or Achieve an Exit Level 3 or above score within the Australian Core Skills Framework assessments in Reading and Numeracy, which will show that they have the capability to be successful in the course.
Students will be required to complete and pass a Working with Children Check/Police Clearance in the state or territory that they are working in prior to commencing child-related work (this includes work placement).
