Certificate III in Dental Assisting
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This qualification provides the knowledge and skills needed to assist a dentist, dental hygienist or dental therapist during all health care procedures, to help maintain high standards of infection control and to assist with practice administration. Successful completion of this certificate qualifies you for employment as a Dental Assistant.
As part of your Certificate III in Dental Assisting course, you would undertake 250 hours of clinical placement, linked with a number of units of competency in the certificate program. The training will take place in a dental setting, working alongside qualified professionals and being supervised by WAIFS trainers and designated supervisors at the host employer.
