Certificate III in Carpentry
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This course will provide students with the skills and knowledge to work in both residential and commercial workplaces. It includes setting out, manufacturing, constructing, assembling, installing, and repairing products made using timber and non-timber materials.
Students will develop many skills including:
- Using carpentry tools and equipment
- Handling carpentry materials
- Carrying out general demolition of minor building structures
- Install lining, panelling, and moulding
- Setting up, operating and maintaining indirect action powder-actuated power tools

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
- Completion of the general construction induction training program, specified in the Safe Work Australia model Code of Practice: Construction Work, is required by anyone carrying out construction work. Achievement of CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry meets this requirement.
- Apprentices are required to demonstrate their completion of the Construction Induction White Card as listed above or indicate a willingness to obtain and present prior to commencement.
- Prospective Traineeship or Apprenticeship students are required to apply through an Apprenticeship Network Provider with their employer to organise their apprenticeship contract before applying for this course.
